Privacy, Copyrights, Warranties, and Other Legal Junk
S.C. Rogers IV (a.k.a. Cecil Rogers, Sam Rogers, and henceforth referred to as me, I, or Cecil), is the author of the NorthFloridaWoodworking.com Web site. S.C. Rogers IV, Cecil Rogers, Sam Rogers, I, Me, NorthFloridaWoodworking.com, its officers (me), directors (me), employees (me), agents (me), or distributors (me) has no private or commercial interest in any viewer or visitor to this site. These pages were posted because I have a personal interest in some (actually, all) of the subject matter I posted and I thought that others may garner some entertainment or useful information from them. To that end, I offer the following information to visitors concerning their use of this site, privacy and security, warranties, and other legal stuff.
Still here? Ok. You've agreed, so suck it up and read on.
*1. I've got scruples! I won't change any of the "Privacy and Security" terms, except to possibly make them more restrictive on your behalf. I think selling private info is wrong and it sucks when it happens!
Privacy and Security
No one in law enforcement has ever contacted me indicating any plot involving woodworking, photography, trees, mountains, or the admiration of certain drummers. Therefore, no attempt is made on behalf of law enforcement to collect information or identify individual users or their web surfing habits as they pertain to this site. We ain't gonna rat ya out for visitin'.
Additionally, there seems to be a lot of talk about cookies... Cookies are made by tree dwelling elves! I've also seen them growing in supermarkets, but I'm not sure if they're wild or cultured. Beyond that, the author (me and Sam) of this site has no desire to try to stuff one of these tasty morsels into any wire leading to your computer and has made no attempt to do so.
I collect some digital information like browser name, OS, and other digital junk. It helps me tune this site for most of the people who use it, and I use it expressly for this purpose! Beyond that, I collect no other info, and certainly no personal information. I can't sell or transfer what I don't collect.
Copyright and Trademarks
All materials on this site, including, but not limited to images, illustrations, audio clips, video clips (the "Content" and "Materials") are considered copyright and protected by copyrights which are owned, licensed, or otherwise used with permission by S.C. Rogers IV. How's that for a legal load of crap?
Having said that, feel free to use any or all of it. All of the text, and most of the other content, is mine and can be copied, photocopied, digitally assigned, and used or distributed freely without asking. However, not all of the photos are mine and some were used by permission. If you want to use any of the photos, please drop me an e-mail and I'll tell you if you can use them or if you'll need to get permission from someone else.
Uploading and Hotlinking
Hotlinking isn't cool. Want to use my stuff? Fine, but don't use it and try to make me pay for it too. It's kind of like asking me to send you $20.00 to replace the broken hedge clippers you borrowed from me three years ago and never returned. It's just wrong.
Likewise, unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service without permission are strictly frowned upon. Anyone attempting to do so will almost certainly frustrate the chief geek.
In either case, if I did my job right, you'll simply be greeted by a custom error message explaining how the geek has said "NO, NO! Bad user..."
By using this Web site, you agree to indemnify S.C. Rogers IV, Cecil Rogers, Sam Rogers, NorthFloridaWoodworking.com, its officers (me), directors (me), employees (me), agents (me), distributors (me), and affiliates (everyone else) for any and all claims, damages, losses and causes of action arising out of your breach of the foregoing agreement.
The content and materials are transmitted and distributed "as is" and without any express or implied warranties of any kind, including, but not limited to, warranties of title, implied warranties of merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. I (Sam and me) make no warranty as to the quality, accuracy, completeness and validity of any content or material and does not warrant that the functions contained on the Web site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
Site content is for entertainment use only. S.C. Rogers IV, Sam Rogers, NorthFloridaWoodworking.com, its officers (me), directors (me), employees (me), agents (me), distributors (me), and affiliates (everyone else) are not responsible or liable for any loss damage (including, but not limited to, actual, consequential, or punitive), liability, claim, or other injury or cause related to or resulting from any information posted on the NorthFloridaWoodworking.com Web site.
If applicable law does not allow these exclusions of implied warranties, TUFF!
Sam isn't responsible for the content of any sites which may be linked to NorthFloridaWoodworking.com. They were good and clean when I linked them. But, the dynamic nature of the beast means that other geeks can change their stuff too, and they don't have to ask my permission either. These links are provided for your convenience only and you access them at your own risk. Otherwise, you just have to accept that what I say is true and you can't check any other Web sites; just mine; only mine.
This site is owned, operated, and controlled by S.C. Rogers IV, a.k.a. Cecil Rogers, Sam Rogers, from the SCRGeek world headquarters (my den), currently located in Orange Park, FL. Sam does not represent or warrant that any content or materials are appropriate or available for use in other locations. If you choose to access this site from other locations, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with any and all local laws.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, as it is applied to agreements entered into and performed within that State. Any action brought to enforce this agreement or matters related to this site shall be brought in either the State or Federal Courts of Florida.
Beyond that, if you feel you've been slighted by me or my site, go ahead and sue. Ain't got no money anyhow; ain't gonna get nothin'... can't squeeze no blood from a turnip. Shoot, I'm so poor, I can't even pay attention.
So,... if you're done reading this senseless drivel, you can click here to go back to our home page, or you can select one of the links to your upper left. No, no, your other left.
